Employee Versus Contractor

Gone are the days where having an employee seated at a desk in your office for x number of hours per week validates their productivity and your value for money. Although a contractor hourly rate is higher than an employee's wage, there are many additional and sometimes overlooked costs relating to employees. Hourly rate = $37 / hr

(Based on Annual Salary: $65,000 / year + Super = $73,000)

Business Manager

Hourly rate = $57 / hr

(Based on Annual Salary: $100,000 / year + Super = $112,000)

Combined Wages (inc Super)

Hourly rate = $94 / hr

(Annual Salaries: $185,000 / yr)

PLUS:

Time / cost to process payroll
Overheads (computer/workstation, printer, phone, software subscriptions, stationery, electricity, office rent, Workcover, recruitment / re-hiring, performance management, long service leave liabilities and additional time or cost to cover 6 weeks employee leave provisions per year (annual leave and sick leave).

Envy Business Manager

There are no fixed annual or pro rata wage costs.

Hourly rate from $65 / hr; or
Tailored monthly retainers equivalent to as little as $50 / hr

Both hourly rates and retainers are tied to KPI's and deliverables. This ties your cost directly to the value on your return, not the time it takes someone to do the work.

There are no costly overheads direclty tied to the service as we cover that at our end. There are very minimal operating costs for you associated with using a contracted bookkeeper such as software subscriptions for accouting software like Xero or MYOB.

With an Envy Business Manager we can represent your company or we can operate under our own branding on your behalf. You can call on us to do anything finance or administration related. We can help you with starting up your business, establishing email hosting and websites, paying bills and invoicing customers, managing cashflow, setting up accounts with suppliers, bookkeeping, setting up processes, assisting with compliance, writing applications, developing reports, chasing debtors, debt management, managing inventory, setting up quoting and purchasing systems, producing financial reports, lodging your BAS or even growing your business.
